(Patria) - Grbavica Stadium will be the scene of the battle for the capital city - the sports one - today from 4 PM. And whether Sarajevo will be blue or burgundy in the coming days, we will find out around 6 PM.
Željezničar will host Sarajevo in the 19th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina today in the biggest match of Bosnian football, reports Faktor.
Zoran Zekić, coach of the Burgundy team, said in the match preview that his team is ready for the duel with the city rival.
- We are expecting a derby, after a long time a match for points. We had one match against Sloga in the Cup, and after that a break which we used in the best possible way.
We are looking forward to the derby and I hope we will all enjoy it. I think we are tactically ready, physically as well, so we just need to show our quality.
This match opens up some new horizons for us, besides carrying the stake of three points, it also carries the stake of some atmosphere and a kind of direction for the rest of the season - said Zekić.
He announced that there will be no major changes in the playing squad, and that all players, except the previously injured Jović and Đorđević, are available.
- Names are not important, it is important that we play as a team, disciplined, compact, and then the team brings out the individual - said Zekić.
He reveals that he and his associates analyzed Željezničar's play in the matches against Vareš and Zrinjski.
- Against Zrinjski in the first half I could draw some details, and in the second half completely different conclusions.
There are quite a few interesting things there. It's a derby, the most important thing is that the players are good in the head, and as for everything else, I don't need to worry - stated Zekić.
Željezničar coach Denis Ćorić commented on the defeat against Zrinjski.
- Some players had a brake in Mostar due to yellow cards. Now there is no philosophy, we are playing the biggest derby and whoever runs out, but also whoever comes in, must give their maximum.
A club like Željo always carries pressure, but we have to deal with it. Even if we had ten points less, we still have to play, and every match is a new proving ground.
There are many points at stake, another four rounds in this cycle, then another 11. I am a winner at heart and I will not settle for fourth place. I want us to look forward, Željo must always strive for the top - said Ćorić.
The main referee of the derby at Grbavica will be Nihad Ljajić from Sarajevo, and the match will be broadcast live on Arena Sport TV.
At the same time as at Grbavica, another duel of the 19th round of the PLBiH will be played, the one between Velež and GOŠK.
