Željo and Posušje share points at Grbavica

(Patria) - Football players of Željezničar and Posušje shared points at Grbavica tonight, playing 1:1 in the match of the 29th round of the Premier League of BiH.

Željezničar had territorial initiative from the start, but without concrete finishing. The Blues controlled possession and tried to break through the visitors' defense, but real chances were scarce.

The best opportunity in the first half was for Dženan Šabić, who went one-on-one with the Posušje goalkeeper, but Šubarić came out victorious from that duel.

On the other hand, the visitors threatened earlier through Ćurdo, but Sulejman Krpić cleared his attempt off the goal line.

The nets remained goalless until halftime, although the home team left a better impression, but without concrete results.

The second half brought much more excitement. Posušje took the lead in the 54th minute after a major mistake by Željezničar's defense, and Čuić was the scorer.

However, the home team's response came very quickly. Already in the 59th minute, Odinaka made an excellent cross from the right side, Šabić found himself best in the penalty area and scored for 1:1.

After the equalizer, Željo increased the pressure and tried to achieve a complete comeback. Krpić came closest to scoring, but Šubarić saved his shot in the final minutes of the match.

The home team besieged the visitors' goal in the closing stages, while Posušje defended in an organized manner and managed to secure a valuable point.

With this draw, Željezničar missed a great opportunity to end its unpleasant winless streak at home, which has lasted since October last year – precisely since the last victory against Posušje (1:0).

Although the team has been in better form since Savo Milošević took over the bench, the lack of a win at Grbavica remains a big problem.

On the other hand, Posušje can be more satisfied with the point earned. The visitors showed discipline and toughness, continuing their run of good results and further solidifying their position in the safe zone.
