Željo avoids defeat against Slovenian Koper with a goal deep into stoppage time

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Željezničar drew tonight at Grbavica with Slovenia's Koper with a score of 1:1 in the first match of the 1st qualifying round for the Conference League.

Željo threatened first in the sixth minute. Erick crossed, Karamarko headed, but the Slovenian team's goalkeeper Jurhar made a phenomenal save.

The visitors took the lead in the seventh minute. Iličić passed to Matonda, who scored into the home team's net.

Željezničar tried through Lagumdžija in the 9th minute, and then in the 13th minute when Šošić found himself in a great opportunity, but Jurhar saved again.

Pejić shot powerfully from a free kick in the 17th minute, the ball went just over the goal. The same player tried again in the 21st minute, Jurhar parried the ball, Krpić ran onto it and shot, but Koper's goalkeeper saved brilliantly again.

Cvetanoski crossed in the 23rd minute, Pejić headed wide.

The Blues continued their attacks. In the 25th minute, Alić shot from a set piece, Koper's goalkeeper saved on the line, and then they cleared the rebound off the goal line.



In the next attack, Pejić crossed for Krpić, who headed just wide. Erick also tried from distance, but Jurhar saved again.

The visitors threatened in the 34th minute, Jurić shot from an angle over the goal. Cvetanoski broke through brilliantly in the 42nd minute, the ball moved across the six-yard box, but ultimately there was no goal.

The teams went into halftime with a score of 0:1.

In the 53rd minute, Šošić tried from an angle, the ball went wide. In the 61st minute, Muftić saved Longondo's shot. Alić crossed in the 68th minute, Karamarko headed over the goal.

Željezničar finally equalized in the sixth minute of stoppage time, causing an eruption of delight among the fans at Grbavica.

Šabić crossed, and Boljević beat the Slovenian goalkeeper for the final 1:1.



The second leg will be played next Thursday in Koper, starting at 7:30 PM.
