Željo thrashed Sloga in Modriča and achieved their first away win of the season

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Željezničar recorded their first league away win of the season today, after being defeated in all previous 12 matches played away from their Grbavica stadium.

The Blues triumphed in Modriča against Sloga with a score of 3:0 and escaped the relegation zone before the eternal derby that follows in the next round at the Grbavica stadium, writes Faktor.

Željo had the first big chance of the match. Štilić went one-on-one with Trako and shot, but the Sloga goalkeeper came out victorious.

In the 15th minute, Hiroš tested Trako with a free kick, and the Sloga goalkeeper deflected the ball.

The home team threatened more seriously for the first time in the 25th minute when Veselinović broke through on the flank and entered the penalty area, but lacked the finishing touch.

A minute later, a penalty was awarded to Sloga after Cavnić's hand was hit by the ball. Vidić placed the ball on the spot, and his shot was stopped by Muftić.

There were no goals in the first half, and the visitors finished the story in Modriča at the beginning of the second half.

Semir Štilić broke the deadlock for Dobojlija in the 47th minute. The Željo midfielder was accurate from about thirty meters, after the Sloga goalkeeper left his position and intervened with his head.

Štilić shot first-time, the shot was demanding, and the ball traveled a long way before ending up in the net for the visitors' great celebration.

In the 53rd minute, the Blues doubled their lead, with Krpić scoring.

Before the Dobojlija net bulged again, Boljević hit the crossbar, then Krpić did too, and the Blues' top scorer managed to send the ball over Trako's head on his second attempt, heralding his team's first away points and Sloga's second home defeat.

Željo could have scored a third goal when Štilić toyed with Sloga's defenders in the 60th minute, then shot, but Grabež prevented a goal with an intervention on the goal line.

In the 63rd minute, Boljević broke away on a counter-attack and shot, but the post was Sloga's ally.

Towards the end, the home team tried with substitutions, but Željo closed all approaches to the goal.

In the next round, Željo plays the eternal derby against Sarajevo, and Sloga visits Borac.
