(Patria) - As part of the 25th round of the Wwin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željezničar hosted GOŠK from Gabela at home, and after 90 minutes, the score was 3:2.
The match began with a minute of silence due to the tragic death in the family of the Montenegrin player of the Blues, Radović.
The hosts entered this match as absolute favorites, and they somewhat justified that role in the 14th minute when Šošić put a rebound behind the young visiting goalkeeper. In the continuation, the guests also became more active and threatened Muftić on a couple of occasions.
By the end of the first half, Dangubić converted a nice play by the Blues into a goal, setting the final score at 2:0 after the first 45 minutes.
After the Blues already had a two-goal lead from the first half, they scored their third goal in the 51st minute. Marković delivered a precise cross from the left, and Krpić headed the ball from eight meters into the net for 3:0.
GOŠK did not give up, however. In the 65th minute, the referee, after a VAR check, pointed to the penalty spot due to Radovac's foul on Novaković, and Perić was the sure scorer for 3:1. In the 82nd minute, Salčin assisted Jovanović, who reduced the score to 3:2 with a precise shot, introducing uncertainty into the final moments of the match.
Željezničar managed to fend off all the guests' attacks until the end and secure an important victory.
With this victory, Željezničar earned three important points and is now only three points behind Sarajevo, with a clear message that their city rival no longer has room for error – the Blues are breathing down their necks.
