Željezničar defeated Posušje at Grbavica

(Patria) - Željezničar celebrated a very important triumph in the 9th round of the WWin league after defeating Posušje with a minimal 1-0 at Grbavica. The goal by Filip Dangubić from the beginning of the second half decided the match.

Denis Ćorić made several changes to the starting lineup compared to the city derby. Among others, Šukilović also played, whose match lasted about 15 minutes due to injury.

The visitors threatened first. Pavković could not convert the home defense's mistake into a goal; more precisely, his attempt was stopped by Muftić, who was very good today.

Željezničar posed a serious threat in the 26th minute through Dangubić, who managed to find space for a shot, but Galić in the Posušje goal managed to save it.

By the end of the first half, the team from Herzegovina was slightly more concrete. However, the teams went into halftime with the score at 0-0.

The second half started with chances on both sides. First, the visitors threatened when Boban shot over the goal from close range in a promising situation, and on the other side, substitute Cvetanovski missed a chance.

The winner was decided in the 56th minute. Boljević crossed, and Dangubić skillfully found himself in the penalty area and sent the ball with his shoulder into the goal for his first goal in the Blues' jersey.

During the match, the main referee Ernis Džemidžić was tested several times, especially when issuing yellow cards.

His biggest challenge was certainly the situation in the 70th minute when, in a duel between Boban and Mahmić, the home team's center-back hit the ball with his hand, but since he did not see where the ball was, Džemidžić probably took that into account and did not point to the penalty spot.

In the remainder of the match, Posušje tried to equalize. They had a colossal chance for a draw in the 84th minute, but Abrego and Pavković failed to score from close range.

The end of the match brought no changes, so Željezničar is back on the winning track and at the very top of the table, while Posušje recorded their second consecutive loss after the one against Borac (0-2).

It should be noted that the referee's added time was marked by a controversial situation when the ball hit Galić's hand at close range, which was away from his body, but referee Džemidžić did not award a penalty after reviewing the footage. The guests protested vehemently, but in vain.
