Željezničar defeats Velež after a comeback, Posušje easily handles Sloboda at Tušanj

(Patria) - Velež and Željezničar played a great match as part of the second round of the WWin league. After the first 45 minutes, it was 0:0, and in the second half, the guests were more effective and celebrated with a 1:2 comeback.

The match in Mostar was characterized as the derby of this round, and it largely lived up to that role, but let's go in order. The encounter at the Rođeni stadium began with a minute of silence for the late Dženan Uščuplić, and shortly before that, Edo Vehabović received a gift from the Mostar club.

The opening minutes were characterized by an offensive approach from both teams. However, the real chance had to wait until the very end of the first half when the guests' captain for the evening, Hiroš, found himself in an excellent position, but Hadžikić was in great form, so there was no change in the score. Boljević had by far the best chance, finding himself in a great opportunity after a good counter-attack. Boljević shot, beat Hadžikić, but his shot hit the crossbar of the hosts' goal.

Great second half and Željezničar's comeback

In the second half, Željezničar again started offensively, creating several promising chances that were not converted. The penalty for missed opportunities came in the 53rd minute when Mihael Mlinarić headed the ball past Muftić to give the hosts the lead.

Immediately after conceding the goal, the guests 'shifted into a higher gear' and gave their all, which paid off in the 73rd minute when substitute Edwin Odinaka, making his debut in the blue jersey, scored the equalizer just five minutes after entering the field.

Shortly after the guests' equalizer, the hosts had an excellent chance for a new goal through substitute Mujan, but he shot high over the goal, and the penalty came just a minute later. In the 84th minute, Boljević scored the goal for Željezničar's complete comeback after a great solo run.

In the first match of today's program, Posušje celebrated with a score of 2:0 at Tušanj against Sloboda.

The guests took the lead in the 37th minute, with Bruno Jenjić scoring with his head from an assist by Ante Bekavac after being left unmarked by the red-and-black defenders.

Shortly after the start of the second half, the guests doubled their lead. Vinko Rozić rounded the goalkeeper in the 48th minute and hit the post, but with his second attempt, he found the net to make it 2:0.
