FIS Ski World Cup Finals: Important test for Muzaferija, training completed!

(Patria) - In Austrian Saalbach, the center of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup finals, official downhill training sessions for men and women were held this morning.

The first of two final tests before the final races in the speed disciplines, for the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian alpine skier Elvedina Muzaferija, allowed for significant familiarization with the course. Otherwise, the organization of the second final weekend in Saalbach is extremely difficult due to sudden weather changes, and the training held this morning is of great importance for the BiH team.

“Given that this is my first time skiing on this course, I used the first training session solely for familiarization. Now I feel much better because the course is much easier than it looked during the inspection.

Tomorrow, we have another training session, and I think a lot can be improved by Friday and Saturday,” said Muzaferija, who will compete for the first time in the World Cup finals in the Super-G discipline on Wednesday, March 22nd, and will also race in the downhill event on Saturday, for which she has also qualified for the historic finals.

Muzaferija started today's training with bib number 19 and finished the finish line with the 21st fastest time.
