Završen 'Sarajevo open 2025': PK SPID podigao trofej

(Patria) - The curtain fell on the sixth two-day edition of the traditional international para-swimming meet "Sarajevo open 2025" today at the Olympic Pool Otoka, with the victory of the SPID Swimming Club in the team standings.

The competition organizer, SPID Swimming Club, celebrated its tenth anniversary of successful work by lifting the trophy, while second place went to the Croatian national team, ahead of the third-placed team from the Cipal Swimming Club in Split.

The international meet "Sarajevo open 2025" once again brought together some of the best para-swimmers from 15 clubs in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Germany, Turkey, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the role of favorite, with a new excellent individual performance and a total of six gold medals, the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina and current Paralympic champion from Paris, Ismail Barlov, once again justified expectations. At the end of the competition, on behalf of the Bunjo Group, he was ceremonially handed the keys to a Škoda Kodiaq.

"We are proud that we were able to host the best swimmers in Europe in Sarajevo again this year. The 'Sarajevo open' meet, which is included in the calendar of the International Swimming Federation, once again lived up to expectations. We thank the people, institutions, and companies that have stood shoulder to shoulder with us all these years, giving us strong support: Visit Sarajevo, Iscos Emilia-Romagna, Otto per Mille Valdese, BH Telecom, Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, City of Sarajevo, Centar Sarajevo Municipality, HIFA petrol, and BUNJO Group," emphasized the SPID Swimming Club and added:

"The para-swimmers of Bosnia and Herzegovina once again achieved notable results at the 'Sarajevo open' meet in front of the home crowd, and in the best way announced their upcoming appearances this summer, including the European Olympic Youth Festival in Turkey and the World Senior Championships in Singapore."
