House of Representatives Adopts Draft Budget for 2025, House of Peoples Next

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, under an urgent procedure, adopted the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2025 at today's urgent session.

Out of a total of 40 representatives present, 21 voted "for", seven voted against, and 12 abstained.



The urgent procedure was previously supported by representatives of HDZ BiH, SNSD, SDP, and DF, representatives of SDA abstained, and representatives of NiP, Our Party, and opposition parties from RS (PDP, SDS, For Justice and Order) voted against.

The budget must now also be confirmed by the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Speaker of the House of Peoples, Kemal Ademović, announced that he will convene an urgent session of the House of Peoples for November 20.

This budget was previously unanimously approved by the BiH Presidency, after the Ministry of Finance and Treasury submitted the final draft law.

The total budget amount for 2025 is 1.5 billion KM, which represents a 16 percent increase compared to last year's budget.

The budget also includes a one-time assistance of 1,000 KM for employees in state institutions.
