WHY DID THEY START WITH US? Nikšić welcomes POSKOK investigations, but is it really like that?

After ten years of blockade, POSKOK has been formed. An institution that clearly states that no one is untouchable. I perceive the fact that some decisions of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are being investigated as a strong indication that the law applies equally to everyone. It is a message that the state is not protected from the truth, but that trust is built on truth. The fight against crime and corruption must be uncompromising and relentless, it is part of the New Year's message and greeting from the federal Prime Minister and president of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić.

We could even praise this message if Nikšić sincerely meant it. In the show Plenum, which aired on Tuesday evening on Federal Television, Nikšić confirmed that he has not yet been questioned in the case of Vahidin Munjić and others, known as "Spengavanje", which the public learned about after the publication of correspondence from Vahidin Munjić's phone with Nikšić, his chief of staff Arijana Huseinović Ajanović, FUP employee Muhamed Ohranović, and Ervin Mušinović. In one of the messages exchanged with Munjić, Nikšić said it would be good to "spenga a criminal", and then asked about the case of "Autoceste FBiH", which FUP was investigating. Thus, the case got the name "Spengavanje". Nikšić himself confirmed the authenticity of the messages and that he communicated with Munjić.

The Special Department for Corruption, Organized and Inter-cantonal Crime of the Federal Prosecutor's Office (POSKOK), in the capacity of suspects for several corrupt criminal offenses after the publication of the correspondence, questioned four suspects and imposed prohibitory measures on them. Munjić was the acting director of the Federal Police Administration since the appointment of the FBiH Government, Huseinović-Ajanović was the chief of staff of Nermin Nikšić and the president of the Commission for the election and appointment of members of supervisory boards in companies with state capital in FBiH, Ohranović was responsible for communication between FUP and the federal Prime Minister's cabinet, and whose wife was appointed as one of the directors in JP Elektroprivreda BiH, and Mušinović, who was appointed as the director of the Police Academy in Vrace.

"Unfortunately, I have not been questioned yet, and I would like to give a statement and clarify what is happening in the Prime Minister's office. Given how many questions we receive about when something will be on the Government's agenda, I think two-thirds of FBiH could be held accountable in the same proceedings," said Nikšić, trying to absolve the suspects who inquired about when appointments would be made and proposed names.

Thus, Vahidin Munjić's cousin, Safet Trakić, was appointed as one of the executive directors of JP BH Pošta, and Munjić arranged this with Ohranović and Huseinović-Ajanović. The appointment of the director of KPZ Sarajevo was also arranged... Not all messages have been published yet.

A few days ago, Poskok conducted searches at several locations again, in the offices of the Prime Minister's Office, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, in connection with this case and some others.

And the fact that Nikšić is bothered by the checks and work of POSKOK, which he officially opened at the beginning of May, is shown by the following statement.

"Our prosecutor's offices gladly conduct proceedings based on anonymous reports. Perhaps it is easiest to investigate these appointments compared to something bigger and more serious crime," said Nikšić, alluding to the checks being carried out in the appointments of the Supervisory Board and Management of JP Međunarodni aerodrom Sarajevo, where certain prohibitory measures have been imposed, and why the appointment of the director of the FBiH Tax Administration was delayed.

"The job of the Government and the Prime Minister is to appoint, to pass laws. For me to show the whole list of how these positions are politically divided and what we found. I can't believe it started with this government. Let Poskok work impartially. They started with us," said the Prime Minister.
