(Patria) - Australian Alex De Minaur (10th ATP) advanced to the semi-finals of the Masters 1000 tennis tournament in Monte Carlo.
In today's quarter-final, after only 44 minutes of tennis, De Minaur "crushed" Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (18th ATP), believe it or not, with a score of 6-0, 6-0!

In the semi-finals, the Australian will play the winner of the match between Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (8th ATP) and Italian Lorenzo Musetti (16th ATP), which is currently underway. The other semi-final pair consists of Spaniards Carlos Alcaraz (3rd ATP) and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (42nd ATP).
This is De Minaur's second consecutive year reaching the top eight in Monte Carlo, and he now leads Dimitrov 4-2 in head-to-head wins.
With this victory, the Australian has made history. He defeated Dimitrov 6-0, 6-0 twice, becoming the first player since the format was introduced in 1990 to win with such a score in the quarter-finals or later stages of a Masters tournament.
