Westbrook fined $35,000 for flipping off Knicks bench

(Patria) - NBA Executive Vice President Joe Dumars fined Denver Nuggets veteran Russell Westbrook (36) $35,000 for an obscene gesture he made during the home loss to the New York Knicks (118-145).

Westbrook, who scored 24 of his 27 points in the final quarter when the outcome was already decided, showed an extended middle finger to the visiting bench after hitting a three-pointer.

Westbrook has played more than 1,150 regular-season NBA games and more than 120 playoff games.

In postseason games, he averages 23.6 points, 7 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. He has never won a championship.
