Vučić confronts America: They will lobby heavily for the Srebrenica resolution, and I will work against all of them

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today that he received official confirmation from the United States yesterday that they will "lobby extremely hard for the resolution on Srebrenica".

"I confirmed to them that I will fight extremely hard against their lobbying and against all their positions on this issue, and I will continue to do so with all my strength," Vučić said.

He also announced that after the fair in Mostar, he will go to New York, where he will fight against their lobbying and "talk with friendly and freedom-loving countries".

Vučić stated that on April 23 and 24, he will have many meetings and briefings.

"Do not be angry, I cannot call those who would try to convince us that they are our friends 'friendly countries.' From today, I call them partners, partner countries. That is a nice euphemism that means nothing. So, we will have partners and friends in the world, and partners and friends in the region," Vučić said.

He also said that he wrote a letter to the President of the UN General Assembly and discussed the Srebrenica resolution with him.

The letter will be delivered by special envoy Vuk Jeremić, who will also convey all my oral messages. We will also have special envoys at other addresses, Vučić said.

"Mr. Jeremić will deliver my letter to the President of the General Assembly tomorrow and talk with him and convey all my oral messages. We will have special envoys at several other addresses. I invite people of different options to help in this, because we need multi-layered talks about the Srebrenica resolution, where we must try to explain to people that this is not a denial of the terrible crime that occurred, but rather a geopolitical game of great powers that have informed us in the meantime that they will strongly lobby for that resolution," Vučić stated.
