Eternal derby at Grbavica without a winner: Both Željo and Sarajevo missed plenty of chances

(Patria) - Željezničar and Sarajevo drew today in the 154th eternal derby played at the Grbavica stadium. In the end, it ended as it began - 0:0.

We witnessed a parade of missed chances on both sides, and the hero of the derby was Željo's goalkeeper Vedad Muftić, who "saved" several clear chances for the Bordo team's forwards, writes Faktor.

The Bordo team started the match strongly. Guliashvili took advantage of Šukilović's confusion, took the ball from him, and went one-on-one with Muftić, who saved his shot.

Muftić saved another 100% chance in the 12th minute. Željo's defense fell apart, Butić went one-on-one with the Blues' goalkeeper, who also stopped his attempt.

Željo had their first chance in the middle of the first half. Substitute Al Jaber threatened after a corner, but his shot was blocked. Then, Sarajevo's defense also blocked Karamarko.

Before the end of the half, the visitors threatened three more times. Beganović crossed from the right, Butić shot first-time, and the ball went over the goal.

Then Muftić frustrated the Bordo team's forwards twice. First, he saved a clear chance from the Georgian, and a few seconds later, from Butić.

The second half started like the first - with a chance for Guliashvili in the very first minute. Karamarko was "sleeping", and the Bordo team's captain shot over the goal from a few meters.

Shortly after, an incredible miss by a Sarajevo player. The visitors had a two-on-one counter-attack, Guliashvili unselfishly passed to Mehmedović, and he missed an almost empty goal from about ten meters.

On the other side, the visitors were very lucky in the 51st minute. After a corner, Al Jaber shot, and the ball whizzed past the left post of Rogić's goal.

Željo had a great chance in the 62nd minute. After a cross from the right, Boljević shot and hit the post. The same player shot wide a few minutes later.

On the other side, Gojković headed the ball after a corner, but he wasn't accurate.

In the 76th minute, we saw another incredible miss. Krpić was face-to-face with Rogić from five meters and hit the post.

On the other side, Muftić saved attempts by Butić and Lulić. In the 89th minute, Karamarko saved Željo by blocking Mujkić's shot on the goal line. In the end, it remained 0:0.

The second match of today's program also ended in a draw. Velež dropped points at home in Mostar against GOŠK, drawing 2:2.
