(Patria) - Veterans of Sarajevo and Željezničar played the final of the 32nd Memorial Tournament "Asim Ferhatović Hase" in Sarajevo's Skenderija tonight. The Blues eventually celebrated with a 3-2 victory.
The stands were filled to capacity, and Sarajevo took the lead through Benko in the 12th minute, writes Faktor.ba.
The red-and-white veterans continued their attacks, but Miroslav Kružik defended brilliantly on two occasions.
Željezničar then woke up. Bekrić skillfully got past Torlak and scored to make it 1-1.
A comeback quickly followed. Kosorić passed to Cocalić, who scored to give Željezničar the lead.
That was the final score of the first half.
The second half saw plenty of excitement, fouls, and interruptions, with a passionate atmosphere from the stands.
After a foul on Ahmetović, Edin Cocalić even took off his jersey and sat on the bench, dissatisfied with the refereeing.
In the 37th minute, Svraka shot, a poor reaction from a Sarajevo player, and Cocalić put the ball into an empty net.
By the end, Ahmetović only managed to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
Željezničar thus won 3-2 and took home the championship trophy. Sarajevo finished second, while third place went to the veterans of NK Čelik Zenica.
