(Patria) - Velež footballers defeated Radnik with a score of 1:0 in the 12th round match of the Wwin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The "Rođeni" were the better side in the first half. The first chance came in the 11th minute for Nermin Haskić, but his shot was too high. A minute later, Ivan Šarić tried, directly at goalkeeper Nikola Lakić. The hosts were close to taking the lead in the 41st minute, but Haskić shot poorly from a good position, so the first half ended 0:0.
Velež broke the visitors' resistance in the 57th minute. After a cross from the right side and a misunderstanding in Radnik's defense, Šarić jumped and headed the ball into the net of the team from Bijeljina.
Ten minutes later, Radnik's net shook again, Aldin Mešić scored, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside position.
Velež thus reached sixth place, exactly replacing Radnik, but is now only three points behind third place, which guarantees a spot in Europe, writes sport1.ba
