Important victory for Željezničar in Gabela

(Patria) - Željezničar achieved a great three points today in the fight for survival in Gabela. Dino Đurbuzović's team defeated GOŠK 2:1 in the 29th round of the Wwin league.

Huge three points were brought by Željezničar from Gabela. The Blues played a very good match and deservedly took the points, making a significant step towards staying in the Wwin league. Saudi player Abdulmalik Al-Jaber scored the winning goal.

Željezničar misses the first big chance. In the fifth minute, Boljević passes the ball to the alone Amoah, who, however, receives the ball disastrously, shoots poorly, and Vasilj easily saves.

The penalty comes in the very next attack. GOŠK takes the lead in the sixth minute, and Skorup hit Muftić's net with a long-range shot.

GOŠK then had several dangerous attacks. Željezničar's defense managed to clear the danger somehow, after which the Blues started to perform.

In the 21st minute, Hiroš threatened with a shot, hitting the outer part of the net, but in the very next minute, the visitors from Sarajevo equalized. Amoah crosses from the right, GOŠK's defense is asleep, and Sulejman Krpić scores for 1:1.

The visitors miss another great chance in the 37th minute. Hiroš had open space to shoot, decided to shoot immediately, and missed the goal.

The teams go into halftime with a 1:1 score, and as soon as the second half started, the visitors took the lead.

Boljević crosses into the penalty area, Amoah tries, his shot is blocked, but Al-Jaber is in the right place and scores to give Željezničar a 2:1 lead.

In the 51st minute, Željo misses an unbelievable chance. The visitors had a four-on-one situation, Amoah was alone in front of the goal, he shot, but Batarelo blocked it, and the Blues' striker, for the umpteenth time this season, failed to convert a clear chance.

GOŠK, as expected, started more offensively towards the Blues' goal, but in the next 20 minutes, there were many interruptions in play and few real chances.

In the 73rd minute, the visitors hit the crossbar after a corner, and a minute later, Vasilj easily saved Boljević's long-range shot.

GOŠK generally couldn't do anything concrete in attack until the end of the match. The home team had some attempts, Musulin threatened with a free kick in the 95th minute, but the score remained 2:1 for the team from Grbavica, who thus secured three points and are very close to staying in the Wwin league.

Željezničar is now eighth with 33 points, and they could secure survival in the next round at home when they host another relegation-threatened team, FK Tuzla City.

GOŠK is currently in ninth place with 32 points, and in the next round, they travel to Banja Luka to face league leaders Borac.
