EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE COORDINATING BODY Ilidža Mayor Ultimatum for Closure of Blažuj Camp

(Patria) - At today's emergency meeting of the State Coordination Body for Migration Issues, the mayor of Ilidža municipality, Nermin Muzur, presented a decisive request for the immediate closure of the migrant camp in Blažuj.

This request comes after the latest armed incident in the camp, which further disturbed the local population. Muzur requested a meeting immediately after the incident, but did not find understanding among all present members of the body.

During the meeting, options for forming working groups, developing strategies, and taking operational steps were offered, but the mayor clearly stated that such measures are insufficient and do not bring a concrete solution to the problem.

Otherwise, the closure of the camp requires a decision from the Council of Ministers of BiH, but there is no more time to wait.

Muzur stated at the meeting that no one had contacted or consulted him on this issue for five years.

We remind you that the camp in Blažuj has been causing concern among the citizens of Ilidža for a long time due to the security and infrastructural challenges that its presence creates.

More information is expected after a possible reaction from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
