(Patria) - In the 19th round match of the 2. Bundesliga between Schalke and Kaiserslautern, Edin Džeko debuted for Schalke and scored a goal. With this goal, Džeko became the oldest player to score in the Second German League, as well as the oldest debutant.
The first half did not bring much excitement. Both Schalke and Kaiserslautern played cautiously, without clear chances, so the break was reached with the unpopular 0:0.
In the second half, the visitors took the lead first. In the 61st minute, Ivan Prtajin scored for Kaiserslautern, with his first touch of the ball in the match, which further complicated the situation for the home team.
Schalke's coach, Miron Muslić, had to react and go for a more offensive solution. In the 67th minute, the captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, Edin Džeko, got the chance to play, and his entry immediately brought energy and a change of rhythm.
The visitors went up 0:2 with another goal from Prtajin, and then Edin Džeko scored to make it 1:2 in the 85th minute. Schalke soon equalized to 2:2 through Karaman, which was the final result of the match.
