Oil price rose to 3.40 KM and was 'locked', pasta and sugar became cheaper, oil crisis could push prices up again

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a decision on February 6 amending three "locked prices". While oil rose from 3.15 to 3.40 KM, sugar and pasta became cheaper.

At the end of February, the Government, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade, amended the Decision on prescribing a measure of direct price control by setting the highest price level for certain products, and the measure was extended from 60 to 120 days, meaning that the "locked prices" are valid until May 1.

Although numerous pensioners called the Patria newsroom stating that the price of oil is higher than before, this is a Government decision that allowed a price correction. However, the truth is that the price of oil is higher by 0.25 KM, while the price of sugar and pasta is lower by 0.15 and 0.10 KM, respectively.

The FBiH Ministry of Trade emphasized that the "locked prices" measure contributed to protecting consumers from sudden price changes. Especially now when the price of oil and oil derivatives has increased due to the conflict in the Middle East. These days, inspectors have their hands full checking the justification of prices, both for fuel at gas stations and for other products. Daily price changes in stores are already evident.

Prices before the February correction, points 1, 7 and 16 are changed
