Ukrainians beat Slovakia after comeback

(Patria) - The Ukrainian national team defeated Slovakia today in Düsseldorf after a comeback, in the second round of Group E of the European Championship being held in Germany.

The final result of the match played at the "Düsseldorf Arena" was 2:1.

The Slovaks took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal by Ivan Schranz, and that was all in terms of goals in the first half.

In the second half, the Ukrainians played significantly better and managed to turn the game around.

They first equalized in the 54th minute, with the scorer being Mykola Shaparenko.

Ten minutes before the end, Ukraine scored the winning goal - this time Shaparenko was the assist provider, and Roman Yaremchuk scored.

In the other Group E match, Belgium and Romania meet tomorrow at 9 PM.
