UEFA sanctions: NFSBiH must pay nearly 100,000 euros

(Patria) - The European Football Association (UEFA) has fined the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina for incidents during the matches of the women's and men's national teams of BiH in September and October.

Most violations occurred during the away Nations League match against the Netherlands played on September 7.

For fans entering the pitch, the fine is 10,000 euros, for throwing objects 12,375 euros, for using pyrotechnics 27,000 euros, and for delaying the start of the match 15,000 euros. Due to the delay in starting the match, coach Sergej Barbarez also received a warning.

UEFA was somewhat milder regarding incidents that occurred during the match against Germany played on October 11 in Zenica. Improper conduct of the team was fined 8,000 euros, and again 15,000 euros was the penalty for delaying the start of the match. Also, Barbarez received another warning for the same violation.

Problems with match delays did not bypass the women's national team of BiH, which was fined twice, 5,000 euros each time, for these violations in the two-legged tie against Serbia played at the end of October. Warnings were issued to Selver Hodžić and Dragiša Zečević.

The Association will thus pay UEFA nearly 100,000 euros for violations in these four matches, or more precisely 97,375 euros. Interestingly, of that amount, it will pay as much as 40,000 euros for delays in starting matches.
