Around 150 family members live in the Rhine-Main region. Their roots are in Sandžak, and Haris's father moved to Germany in 1991, wanting to escape the war. Two years later, Haris's uncle Ibrahim followed him, and at 50 years old, he is the oldest member of the team.

The Kurtanović team finished the autumn half-season in second place, two points behind the leader, so the team hopes to move up to a higher league starting this summer.
