European Rafting Championship begins in Konjic, opening ceremony tomorrow at Ćuprija

(Patria) - The European Rafting Championship in Konjic began today and will last until June 15, with the official opening scheduled for tomorrow.

This prestigious event, organized by the River Guide rafting club, with the support of the "Garden City Konjic" hotel, approval from the World Rafting Federation (WRF) and under the patronage of the City of Konjic, brings together participants from 12 European countries.

More than 130 participants will face the rapids of the Neretva River, known for its crystal-clear water and challenging currents.



Thirty teams are coming to Konjic to compete in men's, women's, mixed and para categories.

The European Rafting Championship in Konjic is not only a sports event, but also an opportunity to highlight the spirit of community, love for nature and the adventurous lifestyle that rafting brings.

The goal of the championship is to promote rafting as an ecologically sustainable and socially beneficial sport, while affirming Konjic and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a tourist destination offering a variety of outdoor activities.

The competition will include three races: slalom, RX and downriver. Particularly notable are the night races, which will be held on the Neretva River for the first time.

The organizers invite all adrenaline sports enthusiasts to come to Džajića buk and support their favorites.

"The grand opening of the championship will be held on Tuesday, June 11, starting at 8 PM at the Konjic Bridge, where many officials and guests will be present.
