
(Patria) - The government will decide to declare Saturday, December 21, a Day of Mourning in Croatia following the tragic attack on students and staff at Prečko Elementary School, Banski dvori confirmed, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased student.
"I express my deepest condolences to the family of the student who died in the attack at Prečko Elementary School in Zagreb. We sympathize with all the injured and their families, as well as with the students and staff of the school," the Prime Minister wrote on a social platform on Friday.
All the injured have been taken care of in hospitals, and we hope for their speedy recovery, he added. "Crisis teams are on the ground, an investigation is underway, and all competent authorities will determine the circumstances of this great tragedy, which has shaken us all," Plenković wrote.
In his post, he also added that the government will adopt a Decision on declaring a Day of Mourning in Croatia following the tragic attack on students and staff at Prečko Elementary School.
