Meeting held at the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina with FIFA representatives on VAR technology implementation

(Patria) - Workshops for training referees and assistant referees on the use of VAR technology in the Bosnian Premier League competition, which will be implemented from the next competitive season on our pitches, were held in Ilidža.

In addition, a "kick-off meeting" with FIFA representatives responsible for introducing VAR technology into the competition systems of associations under the auspices of the world football association began today at the premises of the NS/FS BiH in Sarajevo.

The FIFA representatives at this meeting are Michael Bailey from the refereeing department, who is also FIFA's manager for strategy and new technologies.

Alongside him is Bhaveshan Moorghen, who is in charge of the implementation, execution and control of introducing VAR/AVAR technology into our competition system.

- Today is a very significant day for us because we have started the "kick-off meeting" with FIFA experts for the introduction of VAR technology into our competition. This is a very important step in planning and coordinating all activities that will lead us to the full realization and final implementation of VAR technology in our country.

The FIFA representatives will provide us with guidelines on all technical aspects, referee education, and procedural steps that await us in the coming period. We are grateful to FIFA for its great support in this important segment of improving the work of the Association, raising the level of refereeing quality in our Premier League - said the General Secretary of NS/FS BiH, Adnan Džemidžić.

Džemidžić is satisfied with the progress in the implementation of this significant project.

- It is a great pleasure to see the progress being made through the workshops and advanced training for the implementation of VAR technology in our elite competition system.

All of this represents a significant step forward for Bosnian-Herzegovinian football, which clearly confirms our commitment to improving the quality of the organization of regular competitions.

All participants show a high level of professionalism and selfless enthusiasm, which sincerely convinces us that we will be ready for the successful implementation of VAR in the next competitive season.

This is not only technical progress, but also a step that will bring benefits, not only to referees, players and clubs, but also to all fans and football lovers in our country - added Džemidžić.

VAR project manager Ognjen Valjić and chief VMO (VAR match official) instructor Elmir Pilav, along with their associates, will represent NS/FS BiH at this workshop.
