Turkey defeats Georgia with brilliant goals

(Patria) - The Turkish national team tonight at "Signal Iduna Park" in Dortmund started the European Championship in Germany in the best possible way.

The Turks predictably defeated Georgia 3-1, within the first round of Group F.

Mert Müldür gave them the lead in the 25th minute with a brilliant goal. Two minutes later, it could have been 2-0, but Yildiz's goal was disallowed due to an offside position by a millimeter.

However, the Turks' celebration did not last long, as Georgia equalized just seven minutes later, with Georges Mikautadze being the scorer. It was Georgia's first - historic - goal at the Euros.

Arda Güler scored another brilliant goal in the 65th minute to give Turkey the lead again. Kerem Aktürkoğlu sealed the victory after a counter-attack in the seventh minute of added time.

In the other match of Group F, Portugal and the Czech Republic will play tonight at 9 PM.
