(Patria) - The last quarter-final match of the European Football Championship was played tonight, featuring the national teams of Turkey and the Netherlands.
After Spain, France, and England secured their places in the Euro semi-finals, the Netherlands national team also qualified for the top four European teams tonight.
Turkey played an exceptionally good first half, and they crowned their good performance with a goal in the 35th minute, when Akaydin scored past the Dutch goalkeeper, assisted by Guler, sportske.ba reports.
However, the Netherlands played much more offensively and concretely in the second half. The offensive pressure paid off in the 70th minute, when De Vrij scored to make it 1-1, assisted by Depay, and Gakpo, just six minutes later, took advantage of confusion in Turkey's defense to score and give the Netherlands the lead.
