Third consecutive triumph for Bosna in FIBA Europe Cup

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Bosna defeated the Polish team Start Lublin tonight in Skenderija in the fourth round of the FIBA Europe Cup.

The final score was 79:70 (19:15, 18:9, 18:20, 24:26). It was the third consecutive triumph for the Students in this European competition.

The hosts played another very high-quality game, controlled the score for most of the match, and deservedly celebrated with a nine-point difference.

Bosna started the game furiously in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall and already after six minutes of play, with Atić's layup, had a +15 lead (17:2).

The Poles managed to get closer to -4, but the Students also started the second quarter well and again took a double-digit lead. After the first half, the score was 37:24.

In the second half, the game was mostly played in runs. The guests would get closer, and then the hosts would shift into a higher gear again.

With 6:28 minutes left, Lublin came within -7 (62:55). However, the Students did not allow any drama, as they had a 75:61 lead two minutes before the end.

Nevertheless, the Poles managed to mitigate the defeat for a final score of 79:70, which means the Students did not manage to make up for the -10 loss from Poland (80:90).

Bosna was led to victory by West with 18 points, while Young and Joesaar scored 13 points each. Šalić also scored in double digits with 10 points. For the defeated guests, Mack stood out with as many as 24 points.

After four rounds played, the Students have a 3:1 record and a good chance to advance to the second phase of the competition.
