(Patria) - Japanese company Toyota announced that it is recalling more than 1.8 million RAV4 vehicles produced between 2013 and 2018 due to fire risk.
The statement states that some replacement batteries in these SUV vehicles are not the correct dimensions and could loosen and cause a fire if the car makes a sudden turn, writes CNN.
"Movement can lead to contact between the positive battery terminal and the battery hold-down clamp and a short circuit," the statement said.
Toyota said they are working on a fix that will be completely free for the owners of these vehicles, who will be informed in more detail in December.
