Thomas Müller becomes Bayern's record appearance holder in the Bundesliga

(Patria) - Bayern Munich footballer Thomas Müller became the club's record holder for the most appearances in the Bundesliga yesterday.

Müller made his 474th league appearance for Bayern in the match against Wolfsburg, surpassing the previous record holder Sepp Maier.

Bayern defeated Wolfsburg 3-2, and Müller entered the game as a substitute in the 65th minute, replacing Sacha Boey.

With yesterday's appearance, Müller equalled Maier's total of 709 matches played for Bayern.

Müller is also Bayern's record holder for the most trophies won, with 12.

The German midfielder made his debut for Bayern in 2008 against Hamburg, coming on as a substitute for Miroslav Klose.
