Competition Committee registers Sarajevo and Posušje match as 2:2

(Patria) - The Competition Committee of the Football Association (FA) of BiH has made a decision regarding the Sarajevo - Posušje match, played on Saturday at the Asim Ferhatović Hase stadium.

As Faktor learns, at a telephone session, the match was unanimously registered with the achieved result - 2:2, although it was speculated that the win could be awarded to the guests with an official score of 3:0.

To recall, Sarajevo finished the match without U-21 players. In stoppage time, Nidal Čelik, the only player of the "protected age group", received a red card, and the home team had already made all five substitutions and was not allowed to bring in another player under 21 years of age.

This rule was apparently not well explained by the FA of BiH. To recall, Article 71 of the Premier League of BiH Regulations states:

"In the match report, each team must have at least three players under 21 years of age, and one of the players under 21 years of age must be on the field for the entire duration of the match. Otherwise, the club bears competitive and disciplinary consequences. These players must be citizens of BiH."

Last Friday, due to a violation of the same article of the Premier League Regulations, the Competition Committee of the FA of BiH registered the duel between Zrinjski and Posušje with an official score of 3:0.

It is worth noting that disciplinary proceedings have also been initiated against Posušje - at that time, Posušje played for three minutes without players of the protected age group.
