Taekwondo Federation of FBiH Allocates Additional 53,000 BAM for Top Taekwondo Athletes

(Patria) - Los Angeles and the 2028 Olympic Games may seem far away, but timely planning and organization are crucial for the best Bosnian taekwondo athletes.

Therefore, the Taekwondo Federation of FBiH has secured an additional 53,500 BAM for the best competitors this year, in addition to the 50,000 BAM already invested in preparations, tournament participation, and attending the EYOF.

Five seniors included in the "Olympic Program" (Nedžad Husić, Džejla Makaš, Ada Avdagić, Benjamin Husić, and Erol Nući) will be financed by the Federation with 5,000 BAM each in 2025.

They are obliged to compete in at least two tournaments in the Olympic category by the end of this calendar year. At the same time, the funds can be used for the Marijan training camp in Split.

If they wish to retain funding for the next year, seniors currently in the Top 50 of the Olympic ranking list must achieve a placement among the Top 40 athletes on the Olympic ranking list by the end of this year.

Through the "Plus Program," seven taekwondo athletes will receive financial support of 2,500 BAM in 2025, with the same obligation as all those included in the "Olympic Program."

Seven athletes who are among the top 160 on the Olympic ranking list, if they wish to retain funding for the next year, must place among the Top 100 on the Olympic ranking list by the end of the year.

With 2,000 BAM each in 2025, four athletes will be funded through the "Young Hopes Program." The same conditions apply to them as to the previous two programs.

However, if they wish to retain Federation funding in 2026 as well, from positions in the Top 40 on the European ranking list, they must place among the Top 200 athletes on the Olympic ranking list by the end of the year.

The Taekwondo Federation of FBiH has decided to give a chance to three more athletes who will receive 1,000 BAM each in 2025. From the mentioned funds, they can pay the registration fee for the Marijan camp in Split.

They are currently unranked or not highly positioned on the Olympic ranking list, and to retain funding for the next year, they must enter the Top 100 athletes on the Olympic ranking list by the end of the year.
