All three points remain at Grbavica: Željo deservedly defeated a harmless Zrinjski

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Željezničar deservedly celebrated tonight at their Grbavica against the current BiH champions, Zrinjski, with a score of 2:0 in the derby of the 5th round of the Premier League of BiH.

Željo thus achieved their first home victory of the season, which also brought them the first place in the Premier League standings, writes Faktor.

Although the visiting coach Igor Štimac announced that the "Plemići" were coming to Sarajevo for three points, the Croatian expert will remember his return to Grbavica for the first defeat at the helm of Zrinjski.



Mostar's team offered almost nothing; admittedly, perhaps the clash against Dutch Utrecht also left its mark.

On the other hand, Željo, weakened by the absence of their standard central defensive pair Seedorf - Karamarko, knew how to capitalize on everything offered to them.

Zrinjski's net shook in the 10th minute when Cvetanoski scored, but the celebration at Grbavica was interrupted by referee Halkić, who, after a call from the VAR room and a review of the footage, saw Lagumdžija's handball in midfield, at the start of the action.



From then on, nothing special happened on the field. And Grbavica erupted in the first minute of first-half stoppage time when Pejić beat Karačić. Rakić did everything brilliantly, got rid of his marker, and set up Pejić for a chance, who then sent the ball into the net.

Željo couldn't have wished for a better moment to take the lead, considering that the referee sent the players off for halftime immediately after the goal.

The second half also started phenomenally for the "Blues". In the 49th minute, it was 2:0. Odinaka stole the ball, sent it to Pejić, who ran past the visiting defenders from midfield, then unselfishly passed to Vinicius, and the Brazilian shot the ball past Karačić with his left foot.



After that, it was expected that Zrinjski would push harder towards Muftić's goal, but they failed to create even a real chance to score.

After five rounds, Željo has 11 points and is first in the standings, one point ahead of Borac, while Zrinjski has one point from two matches and is in last, 10th place.
