Referee Bandić in the spotlight, Rudar equalizes at Košev in stoppage time!

(Patria) - FK Sarajevo hosted Rudar from Prijedor today at the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium in the 24th round of the WWin league of BiH, and after great drama, the match ended with a score of 2:2.

Third-placed Sarajevo hosted Rudar, who are last in the standings and for whom every point is golden in the fight for survival, while the Bordo team's goal is to secure third place as soon as possible and remain competitive in the fight for the very top.

We saw the first goal in the early phase of the match. It was the 10th minute when Adem Ljajić scored from the penalty spot for 1:0, after Puentas committed a penalty by handling the ball after Hujber's cross.

Shortly after, Carlos scored a goal for the visitors, but it was rightly disallowed for offside. In the 17th minute, referee Antoni Bandić pointed to the penalty spot because Hujber handled the ball, but Mohedano shot over the goal.

Rudar had a good chance in the 22nd minute, but Romero shot from about ten meters directly at Banić, who made a good save.

Sarajevo responded in the 24th minute after a mistake by the visitors, and Carlos shot wide from about ten meters. In the 42nd minute, Banić got careless in front of his goal, started dribbling, and lost the ball, but fortunately for him, he was fouled.

At the end of the first half, Moline unleashed a cannonball towards Sarajevo's goal, but the crossbar saved the home team.

At the very start of the second half, Hujber received his second yellow card and had to leave the field, although he and his teammates did not accept Bandić's decision, whom the home crowd then began to jeer. And seemingly with good reason. It seems he unnecessarily "spoiled" the match with certain decisions, so the home team rightly protested.

There were decisions made by Bandić that caused fierce protests in the stands, as well as on Sarajevo's bench. With one player less, Sarajevo took a 2:0 lead in the 59th minute. Elezi brilliantly set up Carlos, who avoided offside and passed to Menalo, who had no difficulty finding Rudar's net.

However, Rudar, with an extra player, came back in the 74th minute when, after a cross from the side, Romero, with a bit of luck, scored. The VAR was activated again, the check took time, and in the end, Bandić pointed to the center.

Real drama at the end. In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Rudar had a good attempt, but Banić saved Moline's shot, and then stopped another clear chance, saving Sarajevo. However, VAR intervened, and in the end, a new penalty was awarded to the visitors for Mujkić's handball. This decision will also be debated in the coming days.

The home team protested, but it was in vain. Rudar managed to equalize at 2:2 from the penalty spot with a goal from Romero.

In four days, Sarajevo faces a difficult away match against Velež in the second leg of the Cup quarter-finals, after a 1:0 home defeat, and after that, a tough away game in the league in Široki Brijeg.
