Students Show Grit in Belgrade, But Crvena Zvezda Still Too Strong

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Bosna basketball players were defeated tonight away against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade in the 14th round of the ABA League. The final score was 97:92.

Crvena Zvezda tonight once again showed the quality and level that KK Bosna, nor many other ABA League teams, do not yet possess.

The hosts gained a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter (31:20), and had a 13-point advantage at halftime (50:37).



In the third quarter, Bosna played well, however, for every attack they made, Zvezda found a solution. Sometimes, mistakes by Bosna players also gave the hosts a boost.

Bosna managed to reduce the deficit to -8 (71:63) in the third quarter, but Zvezda then went on a 5:0 run and entered the final period with a +13 lead (76:63).

Muhamed Pašalić's team continued to fight in the last quarter. In the final five minutes of the game, the Students reached a single-digit deficit. But the maximum they could achieve was -3 (95:92).

Zvezda secured the victory with two made free throws for a final score of 97:92.

Young Jr was the most effective for Bosna with 20 points. Šalić with 15, Plummer with 12, Joesaar with 11, and Kovačević with 10 points and 9 rebounds were also in double figures.



The best for Crvena Zvezda was Miller-McIntyre with 20 points, two rebounds, and five assists. Alongside him, Jordan Nwora stood out with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists, as well as Semi Ojeleye with 11 points.
