
(PATRIA) - On the third day of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria, the women's Super-G race was held.
Elvedina Muzaferija, the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian alpine skier, started from position 25 and completed the two-kilometer "Ulli Maier" course in 1:22.80. She ultimately finished in 27th place, 2.33 seconds behind Stephanie Venier.
The Austrian skier celebrated a gold medal today in front of her home crowd. Federica Brignone took second place, and Lauren Macuga and Kajsa Vickhoff Lie had identical times for third place.
Forty skiers from 19 countries competed in the FIS World Championship 2025 Super-G event. Eight did not successfully complete the course, and American Lindsey Vonn also did not finish the race after hitting a gate.
The next FIS World Championship race in which Bosnia and Herzegovina will have its representative, Elvedina Muzaferija, is the downhill race scheduled for Saturday, February 8th, at 11:30 AM.
