Spectacle in Sarajevo: Even Džanan Musa's stellar performance couldn't help Dubai avoid defeat against Panathinaikos

(Patria) - Basketball fans truly had the opportunity to enjoy themselves tonight - both those in the stands of the Olympic Hall Zetra and those watching on their small TV screens.

In a EuroLeague game (33rd round) with a total of 211 points scored, the Greek team Panathinaikos defeated Dubai 107:104 as guests in front of the Sarajevo audience.

The match started evenly, and Bosnia and Herzegovina representative Džanan Musa scored 13 points in the first quarter alone.

After ten minutes of play, the score was 26:25 for Dubai, who managed to gain a double-digit lead in the second quarter (41:29).

However, Panathinaikos raised their level of play by halftime and managed to almost completely erase the deficit, going into the break with a score of 50:47.

Musa was the most prominent player during that period with 18 points and three assists.

The third quarter saw a comeback from the visitors. Led by Nunn and Osman, Panathinaikos players took a six-point lead (81:75).

In the final moments of the game, we witnessed a real scoring seesaw, and it was clear that fine margins would decide the winner.

The key moment occurred at a score of 99:96 for the Greek team, when Nunn hit an important long-range three-pointer, giving his team a more comfortable lead.

Dubai tried to respond, but Nigel Hayes further extended the visitors' lead with another three-pointer, effectively sealing the win.

Džanan Musa was the most effective player for Dubai with 31 points and three rebounds, but his brilliant performance was not enough for Dubai to avoid defeat.

On the other side, Osman scored 23 points, Nunn 21, and Hayes 20.

This loss further complicates Dubai's situation in the race for the play-in, as, in case of wins by Barcelona and Crvena zvezda in this round, they could fall two wins behind with five games remaining.
