(Patria) - The Skiing World Championships, held in Austrian Saalbach, continued today with the women's downhill race.
Today's race was unique in skiing history, and the reason is the mere 33 registered skiers, the lowest number in history.
The best Bosnian-Herzegovinian skier, Elvedina Muzaferija, also competed, starting with bib number 28.
She had a deficit of 3.38 seconds behind the leader (time 1:44.67), which at that moment was enough for 21st place. However, in the end, she lost two more places and finished in 23rd place, writes Faktor.
American Breezy Johnson won, followed by Austrian Mirjam Puchner in second place, and Ester Ledecka from the Czech Republic in third.
Muzaferija's next challenge is on February 11th, when the team combined event is scheduled.
