(Patria) - Milan suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat against Parma at San Siro in the 26th round of Serie A.
With this defeat, Inter increased their lead to ten points, thus significantly approaching winning the Scudetto with 12 rounds left in the championship.
Milan had more possession and more shots on goal for most of the match, but the visitors managed to defend and then shock San Siro. Parma took the lead in the 85th minute with a goal from Mariano Troilo after a corner. Troilo was in a duel with Davide Bartesaghi, and referee Piccinini initially disallowed the goal. After a few minutes of VAR review, the decision was changed, and Parma took a 1-0 lead.
This ended Milan's longest unbeaten streak in the top European leagues, which they held until today. The Rossoneri had been undefeated for 24 matches until today.
In the next round, Milan will visit Cremonese, while Parma will host Cagliari.
