(Patria) - The Employers' Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina reminds business entities and the public that amendments to the Law on Contributions will come into effect tomorrow. These amendments reduce contribution rates by 5.5 percent, lowering them from 41.5% to 36%. Furthermore, the Rulebook on the Method of Calculating and Paying Contributions, which operationalizes the application of these legal amendments, comes into force.
At today's session of the Economic and Social Council for the Territory of FBiH, the next steps towards further reduction of employer-borne contributions were announced through the adoption of the second phase of amendments to the Law on Contributions and the adoption of the Law on Fiscalization of Transactions in FBiH, as well as the extension of the validity of the Decree on Payment of Aid to Workers by Employers, the application of which should be extended by the end of July.
The Employers' Association of FBiH takes this opportunity to call on employers in FBiH to use the reduction in contributions, within their capabilities, to increase their workers' wages and facilitate the entry into the second phase of the agreement between authorities, employers, and trade unions on creating a more favorable business environment by adopting new regulations in the areas of fiscal policy, health insurance, labor relations, and others.
