Bosnalijek Case: Why Nermin Nikšić Continues to Protect Uzunović and Russian Capital After Indictment?

Nine days have passed since the indictment was filed in the Bosnalijek case, and a session of the Supervisory Board, where Nedim Uzunović, the general director of Bosnalijek and the first indicted person in this case, should be dismissed, has not yet been convened. He skillfully avoided earlier dismissal, after his arrest and the opening of an investigation, for more than several months, all thanks to political support and games within the Securities Commission.

Uzunović and 11 other individuals, along with four legal entities, are accused of organized crime, abuse of position or authority, concluding a harmful contract, and money laundering, with offenses committed between 2005 and 2016.

According to the prosecution's evidence, the accused damaged Bosnalijek by more than five million euros, and acquired illicit property benefits for themselves in an amount close to five million euros.

After initial information that he would not oppose his dismissal, the situation has drastically changed, and as it is an open secret that SDP (through its cadres) is deeply involved in this company, it is clear that the Prime Minister of the Federation, Nermin Nikšić, continues to protect his associate/favorite, Nedim Uzunović.

Elvedin Grabovica, former director of Elektroprivreda BiH and a close friend of Nikšić, is also actively involved in the whole story. However, it is interesting, and put simply, strange that Nikšić is protecting Russian capital and going against the Americans, who were defrauded back in 2010 regarding Bosnalijek.

Perhaps it is not so strange after all, if it is now known that the closest partner of SDP, the leader of NIP and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konaković, has issued residence permits in BiH to expelled Russian 'diplomats' (read spies) from European countries.

The 'Trojka' coalition was brought to power thanks to the US Embassy and Ambassador Michael Murphy, and now they are fiercely defending the Russian side!?

The indictment states that Uzunović, as the beneficial owner of offshore companies and the director of Bosnalijek's representative office in Moscow, in order to conceal the true source, nature, and origin of the money and illegally introduce it into legal financial flows, paid large sums of money into accounts he controlled, as well as accounts of persons close to him, which were subsequently used for various purposes, including the purchase of real estate, shares, vehicles, and other assets.

It is also an open secret that the frozen shares are precisely owned by Uzunović, and that Galenika wanted to buy them, which, according to Patria's findings, is ready and offering hundreds of millions of KM to take control of the most significant pharmaceutical company in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Reportedly, the current director Uzunović agrees with this possible transaction!

The US Embassy is closely monitoring the situation, and they are also awaiting the Court of BiH, which is expected to soon confirm the indictment of the BiH Prosecutor's Office against Uzunović.

We remind you that the Court of BiH, due to 'strange prohibition measures', has actually enabled Uzunović's unimpeded operation at the head of Bosnalijek all this time.

By a decision of the Court of BiH dated 05.05.2022, the prohibition measures for the suspected director of Bosnalijek, Nedim Uzunović, were modified in such a way that the travel ban remained in effect, while the measures prohibiting contact with certain persons were eased. The suspect was allowed access to the Bosnalijek building, but he is not allowed to discuss this criminal case.

The control of the prohibition measures was carried out every two months, and the Court found no indications for holding the next hearing in this case.

Parallel to waiting for the confirmation of the indictment, the scheduling of the Supervisory Board session is also awaited, which includes Nedim Rizvanović, Rijad Hasić, Vedad Tuzović, Madžid Avdagić, and Haris Jahić, who are expected to dismiss Uzunović.
