Scotland and Switzerland draw in Cologne, Shaqiri scores a screamer

(Patria) - The national teams of Scotland and Switzerland drew tonight with a score of 1:1 in the second round of Group A of the European Championship held in Germany.

Both goals at the "Rhein Energie Stadium" were scored in the first half.

Scotland took the lead in the 13th minute after a quick counter-attack, scored by Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay. The ball changed direction on its way to Sommer's goal after an unsuccessful intervention by Schär.

Thirteen minutes later, the Swiss equalized. Scotland's defense made a catastrophic mistake, which Xherdan Shaqiri exploited and beat Angus Gunn with a fantastic shot.

There were no more goals until the end of the match. It is worth noting that VAR technology disallowed Dan Ndoye's goal for the Swiss in the 33rd minute due to offside.
