(Patria) - BiH para-athlete Ismail Barlov achieved a brilliant result at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Barlov took second place in the final of his second discipline - 50 meters breaststroke (category SB2), writes SCsport.
He finished the race with a time of 1:02.74, which earned him a silver medal and another reason for pride for BiH at this competition.
Results of Ismail's race
Barlov competed this morning among seven semi-finalists in the first qualifying group. He took first place with a time of 1:04.06, which was enough for him to qualify for the final without waiting for the results from the second qualifying group.
Barlov was born in 2010 with a physical deformity. He was born with TAR syndrome, meaning his limbs did not develop sufficiently.
This is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the absence of the radius bone in the forearm and a dramatically low platelet count.
