
(Patria) - Široki Brijeg had a two-goal lead after 15 minutes of battle against Borac at Pecara, but ended up with nothing.
The Banja Luka side celebrated a 3:2 victory in the derby of the 11th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports Faktor.ba.
Široki Brijeg took the lead with a goal by Miroslav Iličić in the eighth minute, and seven minutes later Domagoj Jelavić shook the net of the current BiH champion for a big home lead.
Borac did not give up and after the initial shock managed to get back into the match with a goal by Đorđe Despotović in the 22nd minute. Six minutes later, Zoran Kvržić effectively scored from distance for 2:2.
The first half ended in a draw, and in the first attack of the second half, Borac achieved a complete turnaround, which would prove to be a victory, their eighth consecutive against Široki Brijeg in all competitions. Despotović scored his second goal of the match.
Until the end of the match, in stoppage time, Ivan Jukić, a home player, received a straight red card for a harsh tackle, after an intervention from the VAR room.
Široki Brijeg remains winless after their fifth home match this season.
Mladen Žižović's team celebrated for the eighth time this season and returned to third place in the table, three points behind leaders Zrinjski and one point ahead of third-placed Sarajevo.
