
(Patria) - American skier Mikaela Shiffrin recorded her 100th World Cup victory with today's triumph in the Italian resort of Sestriere.
Shiffrin achieved the jubilee victory with a time 61 hundredths of a second faster than the second-placed Croatian skier Zrinka Ljutić, while the third place went to American Paula Moltzan, who was 64 hundredths of a second behind the winner.
In Sestriere, the American achieved her jubilee, 100th World Cup victory and 155th podium finish of her career, thus equaling the all-time leader Ingemar Stenmark.
After today's race, in the overall World Cup standings, the leading Italian Federica Brignone has 999 points, the second-placed Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami has 809, and the third-placed Ljutić has 753.
In the slalom standings, Ljutić is first with 489 points, 49 more than the second-placed Swiss Camille Rast, while the third-placed Austrian Katharina Liensberger is 105 points behind.
