Seven goals in Eindhoven, Dutch expectedly better than the Dragons

The Dragons were powerless against hosts Netherlands in Eindhoven in the match of the 1st round of Group A3.

We lost with a score of 5:2, but we gained Esmir Bajraktarević, who debuted in the second half and showed that he will be a great reinforcement for the BiH team.

The opening of the match hinted at the kind of game we would see. The Dutch took the ball, imposed their tempo, and wove a net around our team's goal.

They did not seriously threaten in the first ten minutes, but they took the lead in the 13th minute, practically from the first chance. And thanks to a gift from goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj.

Simons' shot was blocked, the ball came to Zirkzee, who headed the ball behind the helpless Dragons' goalkeeper, who was "sleeping" and should have reacted much better.

Two minutes later, the Dragons threatened, but Gazibegović shot weakly, and goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen caught the ball without any problems.

In the 20th minute, it was dangerous in front of the Dragons' goal, but Mujakić cleared the danger. Practically, the Partizan defender saved a clear goal, as the Dutch had a sure scoring position.

The scoreboard started moving again in the 27th minute, and Demirović scored for 1:1. Huseinbašić brilliantly set up the Stuttgart striker, who routinely scored for the equalizer.



Then followed Dutch attacks, but Gakpo, Van Dijk, and Zirkzee were inaccurate.

Then we had two more chances, but we couldn't manage to equalize. First, Džeko was late for Dedić's cross, and then he headed over the goal.
