Colorful trams along the coast and a cable car over the sea are Busan's main attractions

(Patria) - Busan - the second largest city in South Korea, is located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and is the largest Korean port.

The city has large beaches, historical temples, and the largest fish market in Korea, as well as a great gastronomic offer.

In addition, it has everything that modern city life entails - from craft breweries and original bars to flea markets and the most diverse galleries, reports Punkufer.

But, if you haven't considered Busan as your next destination yet, you might have already seen its unmissable attraction - very photogenic colorful trams that run along the coast.

Haeundae Blue Line Park is actually a railway line that was repurposed in 2020 into an exclusively tourist line that extends all the way to the beach, for a length of 4.8 kilometers.

However, trams are not the only attraction of this Korean city.

After being put into operation in 1964 as the first cable car in Korea, the attraction at Songdo Beach was closed in the meantime, only to be reopened in 2017, with a length of 1.62 kilometers.

There are 39 cabins available, 13 of which have glass bottoms.

Opened in 1913, Songdo Beach was the first beach in Korea. After a golden period during the 1960s and 1970s, the beach gradually declined.

But, the desire for its golden shine soon returned, and the abandoned beach was renovated, and today it is more beautiful than in its early days.

The warm sand and the cable car over the sea attract more than five million visitors annually.
