Sarajevo's Bosna records fourth consecutive ABA League triumph

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Bosna basketball players defeated Ljubljana's Ilirija team tonight on the road with a score of 83:79 in the eighth round of the ABA League.

This was the fourth consecutive victory for the Students in that competition, having previously defeated Vienna, Zadar, and Spartak.

Bosna won the first quarter 21:14, while the second quarter was tied (20:20), and the Students went into halftime with a 41:34 lead.



In the third quarter, Bosna at one point had an 18-point lead (57:39), but even that was not enough for the former European champion to finish the game calmly.

In the final moments of the game, Ilirija's basketball players managed to reduce the deficit to -2 (79:77 and 81:79), but they couldn't go further. Bosna deservedly won with a score of 83:79.


The most effective player for the winning team was Mike Young Jr with 22 points. West scored 21, and Delalić also reached double digits with 10.

With this triumph, Bosna climbed to third place in the standings, which leads to the next stage of the ABA League.

This was also the last game for the Students before the international break, after which they expect a duel with Belgrade's Crvena Zvezda in Sarajevo.
